Programs why

The 4Ballroom  Dance Co-op provides a wide range of support across the spectrum with a number of diverse programs to allow complete community inclusion.  Participants range from 5 years to 95 years of age.

The beauty of this pursuit and its ancillaries is it accommodates all ages, abilities and resources whilst providing a vast range of benefits that most participants are usually unaware of. A holistic avenue that incorporates all areas of the mind and body – extending cognition, physical, health and social skills that may be enjoyed by those looking for gentle exercise, those looking for serious athletic challenges and every area in between.
4Ballroom Co-op also provides an avenue for musicianship to flourish as it requires a particular type of music. With music programs and licensing options encouraging Australian input in the genre.

Programs involve a “whole of community” approach that allows all students regardless of age or ability a safe and challenging way to learn a wide range of skills including social and physical.
The adaptive programs ensure everyone can participate in a range of ways.
Provides structured challenges commencing with * Sequenced dancing  and culminates in a “holistic fundraiser” that is inclusive of all community participants, invited guests and the wider community.  Nutrition as included during the program is provided on the fundraising night by students, involves generational crossover as family are invited to participate in the challenges on the night with prizes etc

These programs have been designed to allow maximum cost/benefit and non-threatening but challenging inclusion.  Relying heavily on the physical participation of volunteers who attend in person at a school or community organisation throughout the programs ranging in time from 12 weeks upwards.

An overview of a school nurture program: Community involvement:
Each team has 5-8 (4BallroomDance Co-op) teacher volunteers involved in the school/organisation program  (3-5 attending  per session)
Each program teaches sequence dance to an average of 90 children per session (some schools holding 4 session on the one day)
Each of those children may include their parents/carers and extended family for the fundraiser or Pre fundraiser sessions.
Each program area has an additional band of committed “4Ballroom Dance co-op supporter volunteers” willing to attend each fundraiser as appropriate (to assist with funds raised, dances, partnering parent, caregivers in dance challenges ensuring all avenues and participants are attended to.)

Likely impact on each school or organisations session will affect 300 plus people with a view to long term outcomes.
Each 4 Ballroom Co-op team can teach a set of dances to a large number of children (usually 3 classes per session ^90 participants depending on space available and can be incorporated in a schools sports or arts period as appropriate)

All material including school day reinforcement options/incentives are provided by the program ensuring participants have holistic, value packed, productive training that has far reaching potential including social skills.
