The Hibernian Hall, located at Woolloongabba, Brisbane QLD
Featured Gordon Reids’ Dansonians Band with Aub Panton as M.C.
The hall had not been used as a dance hall for many years so when Gordon put forth a proposal to Aub Panton to start a Saturday night dance, he agreed.
The response to opening night was outstanding, balloons, whistles and novelties added to the atmosphere.
Unfortunately, the crowd was too big and too good to last.
It is noted that Aub gave the venue away but is not clear if the venue remained a dance favourite.
Aub moved from the Hibernian to the Trades Hall as M.C.
